Roger Koontz

My career spans over 40 years, starting with 4 1/2 years as a CPA with a public accounting firm before moving on to Highmark Health, where I was employed until accepting an early retirement effective November 30, 2020. On July 5, 2021, I began my new position as the Accounts Payable Supervisor (and then Manager) for Penn State Health.
My achievements include: participation in a lead role in a successful enterprise Financial Systems Implementation, design, development, and administration of corporate-wide compliance training programs, transfer of Accounts Payable operations to India, and most recently transition of Accounts Payable processing to a new ERP system.

Manage and direct the work of the Payroll and Accounts Payable Departments at Penn State Health. Responsible for the expenditure of approximately $3B for 20,000 employees and 12,000 vendors. Lead the development and implementation of payment related technologies and processes that support the patient-centric mission of Penn State Health.
