With more than a decade of experience across the entire procure-to-pay process, and financial systems optimization, she leads large-scale initiatives focused on Workday transformation, automation, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Jessica previously served as Director of Payment Services, overseeing Accounts Payable, Travel & Card Services, and Supplier Management operations. In that role, she drove major modernization efforts, including AI-driven invoice processing, supplier onboarding enhancements through PaymentWorks, U.S. Bank One Card Program implementation, and streamlined settlement scheduling within Workday.

Her work emphasizes strong governance, risk mitigation, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and user experience in higher education finance. Passionate about people development and collaboration, she fosters a culture rooted in accountability, service, and continuous improvement. Jessica enjoys mentoring teams, creating engaging training programs, and building strong relationships across campus.

Outside of work, Jessica is a proud “Honey” to her five grandchildren and values family, laughter, and lifelong learning.


Angela Sarno
VP Marketing, PaymentWorks

Angela Sarno is a marketing and communications leader with more than 20 years of experience in customer-facing roles at start-up and scale-up companies, spanning communications, marketing, investor relations, and customer success.

She joined PaymentWorks in 2019, where she built version 1 of the company’s fraud operations team, led customer success, and later assumed responsibility for brand and marketing strategy.

Angela is passionate about the role vendor identity plays in protecting organizations and strengthening vendor management, viewing onboarding as a critical gatekeeper for fraud prevention and operational integrity.
