Q. We currently have a vendor set up in our financial software as ABC Enterprises. We recently received a new W-9 where the legal name (Line 1) changed from XYZ Investments to ABC Holdings, but the business name on line 2 remained the same. The parent company ABC Holdings is responsible for filing the return, correct? Is our vendor that is set up using the ABC Enterprises FEIN subject to 1099 reporting?
