Proper 1099 Reporting for Car Seat Technician Stipends

Q. We sent a 1099NEC to a person who provide a service called car seat technician stipend for car set check. They are saying that they should have gotten a 1099 Misc. Can you please confirm which 1099 we should have sent them.

If they were providing a service then 1099-NEC would be the proper form.
