Q. Our payroll office has always received copies of driver's licenses and social security cards during the onboarding process. We have created vendors on the AP side relying the information/accuracy that payroll has during the onboarding process. Is there any authoritative documentation on the requirement or best practices for collecting a copy of the social security cards?
