Q. We received an inquiry from a vendor we paid in 2023. They are an S Corporation so we did not issue them a 1099. The S Corporation vendor paid a third-party vendor, provided us receipts, and we reimbursed the S Corporation. When the third-party vendor reached out to the S Corporation for a copy of their 1099, the S Corporation said the service was not directly provided to them so they could not issue the third-party vendor a 1099, rather it should come from us.
