Requesting financial statements from private companies

Q. With the state of the economy, companies are trying to minimize risk. We have many private companies with six figure credit limits.
1. Do you request financials statements? Most recent audited annual? Most recent quarter? Or both?2. How do you handle if they refuse to provide?3. What do you do if credit report shows a much lower suggested limit than account needs?
