Q. We have many customers that live in the mountains and use P.O. boxes to receive mail. We collect a physical address for Customer Identification Program purposes. I wanted to clarify if it is ok to obtain PO boxes for the address on the W-9 form. Based on the instructions on the W-9 on IRS.gov, it seems like this should be allowable, but I was not certain, so wanted to confirm that here. A.
