Company name change and EIN issue

Q. We have a vendor that we haven't yet paid. We learned their name changed and they are now an LLC Partnership associated with what will be a 1099 reportable payment. They provided a W-9 form but according to the IRS TIN matching system, the EIN provided still matches the name of the old company which was a corporation, not the name of the new company listed on the W-9 form which is now an LLC-Partnership.
