Q. For the current tax year, the IRS requires companies with existing/old TCC to submit a new on-line IR-TCC Application. The deadline to enroll for a new TCC is August 1, 2023. However, the IRS also mentioned that "effective 9/25/2022, if you would like to voluntarily participate in the CF/SF program, you will need to complete the new on-line IR-TCC Application." Does that mean if we fail to obtain the new TCC this year (and use our old TCC to file 2022 1099), we will not be able to…
