1099 Reporting for Supplies Purchased from Sole Proprietors

Q. We issue a 1099 to one of our vendor based on how he completed his W9. He is using his SS # and checked the box in section 3 "Individual/sole proprietor or single-member llc" what we purchase from him are banners and table cover and such. I guess you can consider those supplies.

If you are making a payment for supplies, it would not be reported on a 1099.
