Q. We just issued a 1099-NEC to a vendor using the information provided on his W-9 at the time of payment, which was his legal name and SSN. He has now reached out to us requesting that we issue a corrected 1099 in the name of his LLC and Employer Identification Number. Are we required to issue a corrected 1099 when we used the information that he provided to us initially at the time of payment? If we are required to, are there any penalties for doing so after the January 31…
