Payer TIN wrong on all our 1099s

Q. When our 1099s were issued for the 2022 and 2023 tax years, our TIN number was incorrect. We use the 1099 software and the service bureau handles the printing, mailing and E-filing of our 1099s. We received an email from the service bureau that the IRS had accepted our file, so I asked them how that can be accepted if the TIN was wrong? According to them, the IRS accepted our file but if the TIN was not correct, they would have contacted our company directly. However, I am not aware that the…
