Q. We paid a vendor for network firewall hardware and software. The vendor is a limited liability company partnership. Is the software that is required to run the hardware 1099 reportable? The software was not customized. We view all of this as a product purchase, similar to how when you purchase a computer it comes preinstalled with an operating system software in order to function.
