E-Filing Corrections: Is Form 1096 Still Needed?

Q. Do we still use the 1096 form for manual correction to be sent to IRS. Or is this an electronic process now?

The correction process may be different for you now under the new e-filing rules. If you filed the original forms on paper, you must file the correction on paper, and this is where Form 1096 would come into play.
