Q. Before we set up any new vendors in our system, we complete a real-time TIN check. This checks for TIN mismatches as well as OFAC and DMF alerts. Death master file alerts are pretty simple to understand; however, what does it mean when a company with an EIN comes back as failed? By the way, if they fail, it means they are on the list. I'm confused about how a company would be on this list since the file it is checking is people who are registered as deceased. We are checking any information…
