Q. A 1099 was issued to an individual as he was registered in our system. However, upon reviewing the invoice, it specifies that payment should have been made to his 501(c)(3) organization. The invoice includes charges for services, travel expenses, a computer purchase, conference participation, a professional membership, and a research assistant. The supplier has requested that we either: Revise the 1099 to reflect only service fees if issued under his name, orReissue the 1099 to his 501(c)(3)…
