Q. Question: We pay an employee for doing some outside off-the-clock work for the president of our company. The employee is the maintenance technician for our building. His side job is building furniture. This is just a small garage thing he does on his own time. The president of our organization has asked if he could build a table for his office.  I'm trying to determine if this would be a conflict -- sending both a W-2 and a 1099 for the building of the table.
