Q. We have a Limited Liability Company-Partnership vendor providing services for our University in multiple states. If we have nexus in these states, are we required to do 1099 reporting to each state for the amount associated with each state in which the service exceeds $600? If so, and we use the combined federal/state filing program, would there be a separate row for each state reporting amount in the federal IRS 1099 electronic file that's uploaded to the FIRE system?
